Célia Megias founded Fashion to See and is its editor-in-chief. The publication covers three things she thinks are usually reported separately and should not be: what comes down the runway, who was handed the house that produced it, and whether the group that owns the house is making money.

Her own beat is the first and second of those. She reports on the show calendar across Paris, Milan, London, New York and Copenhagen, on the access hierarchy that decides who sees a collection first, and on the run of house transitions that has changed almost every major creative directorship in eighteen months.

She came to fashion journalism from inside the trade, through buying, merchandising and brand strategy for retailers in Paris and Barcelona. That is the lens she brings to a collection: not only whether it is good, but whether a buyer will write an order against it, which is the question a house is actually asking when it changes designers.

She is also fashion and beauty director at Retail to See, an independent publication covering the business of retail. Fashion to See is her own. Based in Barcelona.
